What's new at ShopWired?
Customer and company names used when creating contacts in accounting apps
When creating new contacts in connected accounting platforms, ShopWired will now use the company name from the order billing address where one has been provided.
If an order contains a value for order.billingAddress.companyName, this will be used as the primary contact name when creating the contact in the accounting platform. If no company name is present, ShopWired will fall back to using order.billingAddress.name.
This change ensures that company customers are recorded correctly in accounting systems and avoids contacts being created under an individual’s name when a company name is available.
The update applies to the following accounting apps:
- Sage
- Xero
- Clearbooks
- QuickBooks
KashFlow already followed this behaviour and did not require changes.
