Improved spam protection
A new validation has been introduced to prevent the creation and editing of customer accounts containing URLs in their name fields. This change addresses a recent increase in spam accounts created with embedded commands and URLs, which were causing abuse and spam email generation.
The validation covers all standard customer account creation and editing pathways, rejecting submissions where most fields (other than the website field) include URL patterns such as "http://" or "ftp://". Actions have also been taken to ban offending IP addresses and user agents at the platform level to further reduce abuse.
This enhancement strengthens the platform’s defenses against automated spam account creation and limits spam-related disruptions.
