What's new at ShopWired?

We have launched a refreshed version of the ShopWired theme editor. This update introduces a redesigned interface and structural enhancements that form the first stage in the development of Version 6 themes.

The outer shell of the editor remains familiar, but a number of usability and layout improvements have been introduced.

• The live theme indicator has been retained
• Undo and redo controls have been repositioned for improved accessibility
• The page navigator has been redesigned and repositioned

A new icon-based sidebar has been introduced to control what appears in the main control panel. This includes:

• Section and block editor (default view)
• Header settings
• Footer settings
• Theme settings
• Colour settings
• Font settings
• Icon settings
• Create landing page

Colour, font and icon settings have been reorganised into dedicated areas for improved clarity and consistency across themes.

The control panel layout has been refined to provide a more compact and structured editing experience.

• Sections can still be reordered using drag and drop
• Section management now includes improved visual feedback
• Add section and add block panels have been redesigned to support image previews and descriptive text (where defined in the theme)
• Section and block lists are scrollable to support larger libraries

These improvements allow theme developers to provide clearer descriptions and visual previews when users add sections and blocks.

Version 4 themes remain fully supported. Their settings will continue to display within the control panel without structural changes to how they function.
