PDDP tariff table updated to reflect U.S. Section 122 surcharge
The tariff percentages used by the Landed cost calculator when a delivery rate is configured for PDDP (Postal Delivered Duty Paid) have been updated.
Previously, the PDDP tariff table used country-specific percentages based on the former reciprocal tariff schedule. Following recent changes to U.S. tariff policy and the replacement of the reciprocal tariff regime, a temporary global surcharge of 10% now applies to most imports into the United States.
As a result:
- All country-specific tariff percentages in the PDDP tariff table have been replaced with a flat
10%rate - The
United KingdomandAll other countries (default)entries remain at10%but are now aligned with the global rule - The logic for HS code exclusions (including cultural works and Section 232 steel categories) remains unchanged
Why this change was made
The previous country-by-country percentages were based on a tariff structure that is no longer in force. Continuing to use those values would have resulted in inaccurate customs & duties calculations at checkout for merchants shipping to the United States using postal carriers.
This update ensures that:
- Customs & duties estimates shown to visitors reflect the currently applied U.S. surcharge
- Merchants using
PDDPare not over- or under-charging based on outdated tariff percentages - The Landed cost calculator remains aligned with current U.S. import policy
Important notes
- The 10% surcharge is a temporary measure currently scheduled to run for 150 days from 24 February 2026
- The U.S. administration has authority to increase this rate (up to 15%) or amend the structure before expiry
- This percentage reflects the additional Section 122 surcharge only and does not replace product-specific duties such as Section 301 or Section 232 tariffs where applicable
If further changes are made to U.S. import tariff policy, the PDDP tariff table will be updated again.
