QuickBooks app updated with ShopWired Payments support
The QuickBooks app has been updated to bring it to feature parity with the Xero app in handling ShopWired Payments information. This update includes support for processing fees, pre-orders, and refunds.
- ShopWired Payments fees are now exported to QuickBooks as expense transactions. Fees are deducted from the ShopWired Payments bank account that you have configured in the app’s settings, ensuring your balances remain accurate.
- Pre-orders are now fully supported. When a pre-order is placed, the invoice is exported without payment. When the pre-order is paid, the payment is exported and linked to the invoice.
- Refunds and credit notes are now exported to QuickBooks and linked to the original sale. Refunds deduct the refunded amount from the ShopWired Payments bank account you have configured.
Each exported transaction references the ShopWired order number for full traceability.
New settings
Three new sections have been added to the QuickBooks app settings:
ShopWired Payments Fee Export
Enable this setting to export ShopWired Payments transaction fees to QuickBooks as Bank Fee expenses.
Pre-order Export
Enable this setting to export unpaid pre-orders to QuickBooks as invoices. Invoices are updated as paid when the pre-orders are completed.
Refund and Credit Note Export
Enable this setting to export refunds and credit notes to QuickBooks and link them to the original order.
