What's new at ShopWired?

A bug which affected the stock & price sync app, specifically the synchronisation of stock values from external sources to ShopWired, has been resolved.

Previously, the app stored its own stock value for each SKU code to reduce unnecessary calls to ShopWired's API. These cached stock values, in some circumstances, were preventing updates if the quantity in the file matched the cached value. The bug fix now ensures that that manually uploaded stock files properly update stock levels on the website.

• A 24-hour expiration rule has been introduced for cached stock values
• The rule ensures that outdated values stored by the app do not interfere with stock sync operations
• When uploading a stock file manually, the app now ignores any expired cache records to ensure the latest stock data from the file is used
• A new App data removal section has been added to the app’s configuration page which provides a remove stored app data option to manually remove any cached stock values from the app (although in normal operations it should not be necessary to select this option)
• It can be used once every 24 hours
