What's new at ShopWired?
Xero - successful export visibility
A new feature has been added to the Xero app to allow you to view, within the Exported Orders section successfully exported orders:
- The order reference of the successfully exported order
- The date/time the order was created
- The order's billing name
- The date/time the invoice was exported to Xero
- The date/time the invoice payment was exported to Xero
- A
view
option allowing you to view the that was sent by the Xero app to Xero's API to create the invoice, payment and (if applicable) the contact
The following information is only available for orders that were created and exported to Xero after 10:00am (UK time) on 30th January 2025:
- The date/time the invoice was exported to Xero
- The date/time the invoice payment was exported to Xero
- A
view
option allowing you to view the that was sent by the Xero app to Xero's API to create the invoice, payment and (if applicable) the contact
For orders created before this time, the text NA
will be displayed.
No payment exported
Where an invoice has been exported but no payment created, the invoice export date/time will be displayed but NA
will be displayed for the payment. This can happen for a number of different reasons:
- The order was an
unpaid
order (e.g. created through the offline payment method or marked as unpaid when created through your ShopWired account) - The app has been configured not to export payment information for any order
- An error occurred during payment export
If an error occurred during payment export this will be recorded in the export errors section.
The view option
You can use the view
option to understand exactly what information was sent to Xero when the app exported the order, payment and contact.
You can use ShopWired's AI to understand the XML log by copying and pasting the whole text and asking "Please interpret this for me".
