EU product identifier requirements
We've updated the guidance within ShopWired to help merchants understand the new EU product identifier requirements for shipments entering the European Union.
ShopWired's existing product fields can be used to store the relevant identifiers:
- SKU — Merchant Product Identifier (M-PID)
- MPN — Non-Standardised Product Identifier (NS-PID)
- GTIN/EAN — Standardised Product Identifier (S-PID)
We've updated the tooltips for these fields and added guidance to our landed cost calculator help guide explaining the requirements.
Merchants shipping goods to the EU should check with their shipping providers which identifiers are required.
No changes have been made to the existing product fields or how merchants enter these identifiers.
