Landed cost calculator app released
We have released a new Landed cost calculator app that enables merchants to calculate and, depending on configuration, collect customs & duties on orders shipped to the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
The app integrates with a third-party duty engine to calculate import duties and customs fees. Merchants can configure whether duties are:
- Always included in the order total (mandatory)
- Optional, allowing customers to choose whether to prepay
- Displayed for acknowledgement only
Additional configuration options include percentage and fixed uplifts, and customisable checkout messages. Duties appear in the order summary at checkout, on order pages in admin, in order CSV exports and feeds, and through the API/webhooks.
Usage of the app is free of charge throughout the month of September 2025.
