Handover procedure
Once you've finished building a website for your client using a development account, you can follow the procedure below to hand it over to them.
Your client should be instructed on how to log in to their account with the ShopWired account's main account email address and password. If your client is already using the user accounts app to access the account, they should still be given access to the main account.
As the developer for the website, you'll still be able to access it through the managed accounts section of your ShopWired account.
You can then send them the login details along with the ShopWired plan that you recommend they sign up for. Activating a paid plan on the account will transform it from a development account to a managed account.
You should also send them:
- How to view the website (i.e. the myshopwired.com temporary domain name)
- Details on how to make the website live on their custom domain name (or do it for them)
- Details of how to activate their chosen payment gateway
- Details of how to get in touch with ShopWired support if they need to
- Anything else you'd recommend (apps to download, webinars to watch)
Once they've signed up for a paid account, you'll start receiving referral commission on the subscription payments they make to ShopWired.
