How to take a backup of your theme

If you intend to make a lot of changes to your theme's code, ShopWired strongly advises taking a backup first.

Taking a backup of your theme ensures that your theme's code, structure, and files are all available to be restored.

To take a backup, select the download theme option from the installed themes page.

The theme archive will be downloaded to your device's hard drive. We advise storing this somewhere safe on your device.

When taking a backup of your theme, any configured settings or sections and blocks configured on the theme are not stored within the theme files.
