Importing products from eBay to ShopWired
You can use ShopWired's eBay app to import listings from eBay and create ShopWired products from them.
Importing listings from eBay and creating ShopWired products from them creates a link between the eBay listing and the ShopWired product, enabling:
- Stock sync between the eBay listing and the ShopWired product
- The ability to manage the eBay listing from within your ShopWired account
- Order importing when an eBay order contains linked products
You can only import , auction listings cannot be imported.

Which listings will appear?
The listings returned by the importer may differ from the active listings shown in your eBay account:
- Recently ended listings can appear, including sold and unsold listings
- Listings with no remaining stock can appear
- Previously imported listings can appear unless you choose the Never imported filter
- A listing with variations appears as one listing, rather than a separate row for each variation
Your selected filters can reduce the listings displayed. Review the results and select only the listings you want to create as ShopWired products.
To import listings from eBay:
- Navigate to Apps > eBay
- Select
begin your import- When this option is selected, the eBay app will download a list of your eBay listings
- This process may take a while to complete if you have a large number of listings, e.g. over 1,000
- Do not navigate away from the page during the import
- Once the eBay app has downloaded your eBay listings, you'll be shown a confirmation message
If eBay returns more than ten pages of listings, you will need to download them in separate batches. Each eBay page contains up to 100 listings. The page count is calculated before ShopWired applies your selected filters and its other exclusions, so it is not a count of active listings or products that will ultimately be imported. For example, 69 pages does not necessarily mean 6,900 products are available to import.
Select the filters to filter out the display of any listings that you don't want to import. For example, if you only want to import listings that you haven't imported before, you can select the appropriate value from the Filter listings by import status setting.
eBay listings that can be imported into ShopWired will be displayed on the next page. For each listing, we'll display the listing image, name, and price, and a view option so you can view the listing on eBay. Use the tickbox in the Import column to select which listings you want to import, or if you want to import all listings on all pages, select the import all listings from all pages option.
Selected eBay listings will then be imported into your ShopWired account (this process will also take a while to complete if you have a large number of listings) and created as ShopWired products.

This message means no listings remained in the selected batch after filtering. It does not necessarily mean your eBay account has no listings available. Check:
- Whether you have selected the correct eBay page range
- Whether your category and import-status filters exclude the downloaded listings
- Whether the listing-date filter matches the listings’ start dates
- Whether the listings’ end dates fall within the importer’s retrieval window
Try removing optional filters or downloading another page range. If a listing is still missing, contact support with its eBay item ID, your selected page range and filter settings.
Importing products from eBay by page
Importing products from eBay by page
You can import a maximum of 1,000 listings at any one time. If you have over 1,000 listings, you'll need to choose the pages of listings to return in the eBay app for selection. Each page of listings available for import contains 100 eBay listings.
You can download up to ten eBay pages per batch, containing up to 1,000 listings before filtering. You do not need to download one page at a time. eBay’s downloaded pages are ordered by scheduled or actual end date. The subsequent ShopWired review screen displays up to 25 listings per page and sorts by title by default. These review pages are separate from the eBay pages selected for download.
Use the Page from and Page to options to select which page numbers you want to return for import selection (you can select exactly which listings you want to import on the next screen).
When you select values from the Page from and Page to options, you won't necessarily see all listings on those pages if you have specified other filters from the importer that don't match with listings on those pages.
For example, if you have selected Page from value as 1 and Page to value as 10 and also selected the never imported option for filter by import status setting, if all 1,000 listings contained on those 10 pages have already been imported then you won't see any results.

Filter listings by eBay category
Use the Filter listings by eBay category option to select a category of products from eBay's category list that you want to import. You can only select one category at a time.
Filter listings by eBay shop category
Use the Filter listings by eBay shop category option to select a category of products from your own curated category list that you want to import. You can only select one category at a time.
Listing date from and Listing date to
Use the Listing date from and Listing date to date options to filter out products not within the defined range. These options filter listings by their eBay start date, not their sale date, end date or last-updated date. The date filter is applied after the selected eBay pages have been downloaded. Listings must therefore fall within the importer’s end-date retrieval window, be included in your selected pages, and match your chosen start-date range. Do not assume that an automatic renewal makes a listing match a more recent start-date filter.
Create categories based on your eBay shop categories
Use the Create categories based on your eBay shop categories to ask ShopWired to categorise (and create categories) for products based on the categories you have assigned the listings to in eBay, based on your own curated category list in eBay. This option is specific to your own curated eBay categories and not eBay's own categories.
Filter by import status
The Filter by import status option allows you to determine which type of listings will be visible for you to import. If you don't make a selection here, the app will return all listings:
Never importedmeans that the listing has never been imported from eBay into the ShopWired eBay listings importerAlready imported but not ShopWired productsmeans that the listing has already been imported from eBay into the ShopWired eBay listings importer but not created as a ShopWired productAlready imported and ShopWired productsmeans that the listing has already been imported from eBay into ShopWired and a ShopWired product created

Importing item specifics on eBay listings
Importing item specifics on eBay listings
When you import listings from eBay into ShopWired, the eBay app can import item specific data that you have configured on the listings within eBay. To import this data, before importing the listings from eBay into ShopWired, you must create corresponding product custom fields within your ShopWired account.
Item specifics on eBay listings will only be configured on new products on ShopWired created from imported eBay listings where the custom fields' names are prepended with ebay_, for example, if the item specific name on eBay is labelled Department, the product custom field in your ShopWired account should have the name set as ebay_department and the label of the custom field set as Department.
