Etsy

Once you've installed the Etsy app:

1. Navigate to Apps > Manage > Etsy

After you've connected your Etsy account to ShopWired, use the Search for your Etsy shop setting in the Etsy Shop Selection section to search for your Etsy shop:

1. Enter your shop name and select search shops
2. A list of matching Etsy shops will be listed for you to select from
3. Select your Etsy shop that is associated with the Etsy account that you have connected
   • The search will return all Etsy shops, not just those connected to your own Etsy account
   • You must only connect an Etsy shop associated with the Etsy account that you have connected to the app
4. Select the radio button next to the shop name
5. Select the select shop option and confirm your selection

To disconnect your ShopWired and Etsy accounts, select the disconnect option in the app.

Before stock can be synchronised between ShopWired and Etsy, you’ll need to configure how the sync should work by selecting a master stock controller. The master stock controller determines which system will be used to control stock levels across both platforms. Stock levels will always sync from the master to the other system.

You should select the platform that is your master stock controller based on where you will add new stock to (e.g. when you make more stock or receive a delivery from your supplier).

Use the Which system will you use to control stock levels setting to select which system will control stock:

• ShopWired – ShopWired controls stock levels and updates Etsy
• Stock syncs from ShopWired to Etsy
• Stock is synced in real time
• Updates are immediate when stock changes in ShopWired
• Etsy – Etsy controls stock levels and updates ShopWired
• Stock syncs from Etsy to ShopWired
• Syncs are not real-time
• You must use the sync now button for an instant sync, or enable the Nightly Stock Sync setting for automatic syncing once per day

The nightly stock sync syncs all stock levels between ShopWired and Etsy automatically, at approximately midnight (UTC) each day.

• If you have selected Etsy as the master stock controller, it is strongly recommended to enable the nightly stock sync
• If you do not enable the master stock controller, all stock syncs will need to be performed manually using the sync now option
• If you have selected ShopWired as the master stock controlled, the nightly stock sync serves as a back up stock sync to correct any errors in the real time stock sync

Select enabled to enable the nightly stock sync or disabled to disable it.

When Etsy is the master stock controller, a sync now option is displayed. This option triggers an immediate one-time stock sync from Etsy to ShopWired. It may take some time to complete if you have a lot of products to sync.

You can perform a maximum of 30 manual syncs per day.

To see nightly stock sync activity between ShopWired and Etsy, select the view logs option.

The nightly stock sync logs display:

• The timestamp of each sync event
• The direction of the sync event
• Either ShopWired to Etsy or Etsy to ShopWired
• The success column displays the ShopWired product IDs of products which successfully synced
• The errored column displays the ShopWired product IDs of products which did not successfully sync

Use this log to verify that stock has synced correctly during the nightly stock sync. Products may not sync correctly if the link between Etsy and ShopWired has broken, SKU codes have been changed or some other error occurred. Contact support if you need assistance.

The Etsy listings section displays listings from your Etsy account. You can use this section to import Etsy listings into ShopWired to create ShopWired products.

Each Etsy listing from your account is displayed in a table:

• Image displays the Etsy listing's primary image
• Title displays the title of the Etsy listing
• Quantity displays the current stock quantity
• If the listing does not have variations, the stock quantity of the listing will be displayed
• If the listing has variations, each option value is displayed with the corresponding quantity
• SKU displays the SKU code of the listing
• If the listing does not have variations, the SKU of the listing will be displayed
• If the listing has variations, each option value is displayed with the corresponding SKU
• ShopWired products must have a SKU code to track stock quantity (*)
• Price displays the price of the listing
• Listings with variations display the lowest and highest priced variation
• Status displays the listings current status on Etsy
• You can import Active, Draft, Inactive and Sold Out listings from Etsy into ShopWired
• Imported displays whether or not the listing has previously been imported into ShopWired
• If you delete a previously imported Etsy listing from your ShopWired account then the imported status will return to No, this happens because the app removes the internal link between the Etsy listing and the ShopWired product when the product is deleted
• If you import a previously imported Etsy listing, stock sync will continue to use the original mapping, the app always reuses the existing connection for that Etsy listing, so stock sync will still point to the same ShopWired product record

To import listings into ShopWired:

1. Select the checkbox for each listing you'd like to import
2. Use the What category should the products be imported into setting to select which category you'd like to assign to all of the selected listings to in ShopWired
   • ShopWired recommends creating a new category within your ShopWired account to import listings into with a name such as Etsy imports allowing you to make further edits to the ShopWired product before making it live
3. Select the Import items as active option to import listings into your ShopWired account as active products
4. Select import selected products

Each listing will take up to 30 seconds to import. During the import, you can navigate away from the page and return later. The app does not provide a progress report on Etsy import, you must refresh the page. If you have selected a lot of listings to import, this process may take some time.

• Products exported from ShopWired to Etsy appear in the table of Etsy listings.
• If you export the same product more than once, the app will always reuse the existing connection rather than create a duplicate listing
• Listings are refreshed each time the listings page loads
• If a listing is not displayed in the app, it is because Etsy has placed it in a state that the app cannot see
• Only Active, Draft, Inactive and Sold Out listings are displayed

When importing listings from Etsy into ShopWired, the Etsy app imports the following Etsy listing information:

The ShopWired Products for Export section displays products from your ShopWired account that can be exported to Etsy.

Use the search option to search ShopWired products either by product name or SKU code.

Each ShopWired product in your account is displayed in a table:

• Image displays the ShopWired product's primary image
• Title displays the title of the ShopWired product
• Quantity displays the current stock quantity
• If the product does not have variations, the stock quantity of the listing will be displayed
• If the product has variations, each option value is displayed with the corresponding quantity
• SKU displays the SKU code of the listing
• If the listing does not have variations, the SKU of the listing will be displayed
• If the listing has variations, each option value is displayed with the corresponding SKU
• Price displays the price of the listing
• Listings with variations display the lowest and highest priced variation
• Status displays the products status on ShopWired, either Active or Archived
• Exported displays whether or not the listing has previously been exported to Etsy
• If you delete a previously exported ShopWired product from your Etsy account, the app cannot detect this automatically, Etsy does not provide any webhooks for listing deletions, so the exported status will not change in the table
• If you export a previously exported ShopWired product, the app will always reuse the existing mapping, stock sync will continue to use the original connection rather than creating a new one

To export product into Etsy:

1. Select the checkbox for each product you'd like to export
2. Use the Select Etsy Taxonomy Category setting to select which category you'd like to assign to all of the selected products to in Etsy
3. Use the Select Shipping setting to select the cost of (*) the shipping method from your ShopWired account that should be given to the Etsy listing
   • Etsy requires (*)
4. Enter a value in the Origin Postal Code setting to configure the location that Etsy listings will be shipped from
   • This value is a requirement for creating listings in Etsy (*)
5. Use the Export items as active setting to select whether or not to create the listings as active in Etsy
   • If you do not select this setting, the listings will be created as Draft within Etsy
6. Select export selected products to Etsy

Each listing will take up to 30 seconds to export. During the export, you can navigate away from the page and return later. The app does not provide a progress report on Etsy exports, you must refresh the page. If you have selected a lot of listings to import, this process may take some time.

• Products exported from ShopWired to Etsy appear in the table of Etsy listings
• If you export the same product more than once the app will always reuse the existing mapping, so a duplicate Etsy listing is not created
• Available products are refreshed each time the products page loads
• If a product is not available for export then it will still appear in the table, but the checkbox may be disabled
• This happens when the product has no stock or has too many variation options

When exporting listings into Etsy, the Etsy app exports the following ShopWired product information:

Listings exported to Etsy are exported as Draft listings, you must set the listing to Active within Etsy.

The Product stock sync logs section displays a log of each product stock sync event in a table:

• ShopWired ID displays the ID of the ShopWired product
• Etsy listing ID displays the ID of the Etsy listing
• Title displays the title of the Etsy listing
• Last synced displays the date and time (in UTC) that the last stock sync event occurred
• Vew provides a link for you to view the log of the stock sync event

Both Etsy → ShopWired and ShopWired → Etsy stock sync logs are displayed.

Select the view option to view the log of the API request made to complete the stock sync.

To import orders from Etsy into ShopWired:

• Each Etsy line item must be linked to a ShopWired product (either exported or previously imported)
• All products in the Etsy order must exist in the ShopWired account
• A matching ShopWired shipping rate must exist for the Etsy shipping profile
• Eligibility checks will block the import if any required product links or shipping-rate matches are missing

To automatically import orders from Etsy into ShopWired, use the Enable automatic imports setting in the Automatic order import section.

• Select enabled to automatically import all eligible orders from Etsy into ShopWired
• Select disabled to manually import orders on demand (using the Sync orders from Etsy section described below)

When automatic order importing is enabled, new orders are imported from Etsy to ShopWired every 2 hours. Etsy does not provide a mechanism to allow ShopWired to immediately import orders.

You can manually import orders from Etsy into ShopWired using the Sync orders from Etsy section. The section displays a table:

• Customer displays the name of the Etsy customer
• Products displays the products (and SKU codes) of products in the Etsy order
• Total displays the grand total of the Etsy order
• Status displays the Etsy order's status on Etsy
• Created displays the timestamp of when the order was created in Etsy
• Eligibility displays whether the order can be imported from Etsy

Once you have selected the orders to import, select the import selected orders option.

Orders can take up to 30 seconds to import.

The synced orders section displays a table of orders successfully imported into ShopWired from Etsy.

The order import errors section displays a table of orders that could not be imported into ShopWired. The section displays a table:

• Etsy receipt ID displays the Etsy order ID
• Error message displays the reason that the order could not be imported
• Created displays the timestamp the error occured
• Select the view option to display the API call the app made to the Etsy API to get the details of the order

You can resolve any issues on the Etsy order (for example by importing an Etsy product into ShopWired) and then attempt the order import again by selecting the retry option.

• If the import is successful, once you refresh the page the order will appear in your ShopWired account and in the synced orders section
• If the import is not successful, the order will remain in the order import errors table
