Etsy is an online marketplace where individuals and small businesses sell handmade, vintage, and unique factory-made items directly to consumers.
ShopWired's Etsy app allows you to connect your ShopWired account to your Etsy account to:
- Import Etsy listings into ShopWired
- Export ShopWired products to Etsy
- Sync stock levels automatically between Etsy and ShopWired
- Select which platform will act as the master stock controller
- Import Etsy orders into ShopWired
To install the app:
Once the app is installed, configure your Etsy settings by navigating to Apps > Manage > Etsy.

Once you've installed the Etsy app:
- Navigate to Apps > Manage > Etsy
Etsy shop selection
After you've connected your Etsy account to ShopWired, use the Search for your Etsy shop setting in the Etsy Shop Selection section to search for your Etsy shop:
- Enter your shop name and select
search shops - A list of matching Etsy shops will be listed for you to select from
- Select your Etsy shop that is associated with the Etsy account that you have connected
- The search will return all Etsy shops, not just those connected to your own Etsy account
- You must only connect an Etsy shop associated with the Etsy account that you have connected to the app
- Select the radio button next to the shop name
- Select the

To disconnect your ShopWired and Etsy accounts, select the disconnect option in the app.
Stock sync settings
Stock sync settings
Before stock can be synchronised between ShopWired and Etsy, you’ll need to configure how the sync should work by selecting a master stock controller. The master stock controller determines which system will be used to control stock levels across both platforms. Stock levels will always sync from the master to the other system.
You should select the platform that is your master stock controller based on where you will add new stock to (e.g. when you make more stock or receive a delivery from your supplier).
Which system will you use to control stock levels
Use the Which system will you use to control stock levels setting to select which system will control stock:
ShopWired– ShopWired controls stock levels and updates Etsy- Stock syncs from ShopWired to Etsy
- Stock is synced in real time
- Updates are immediate when stock changes in ShopWired
Etsy– Etsy controls stock levels and updates ShopWired- Stock syncs from Etsy to ShopWired
- Syncs are not real-time
- You must use the
sync nowbutton for an instant sync, or enable theNightly Stock Syncsetting for automatic syncing once per day
Nightly stock sync
The nightly stock sync syncs all stock levels between ShopWired and Etsy automatically, at approximately midnight () each day.
- If you have selected
Etsyas the master stock controller, it is strongly recommended to enable the nightly stock sync - If you do not enable the master stock controller, all stock syncs will need to be performed manually using the
sync nowoption - If you have selected
ShopWiredas the master stock controlled, the nightly stock sync serves as a back up stock sync to correct any errors in the real time stock sync
Select enabled to enable the nightly stock sync or disabled to disable it.
Sync now
When Etsy is the master stock controller, a sync now option is displayed. This option triggers an immediate one-time stock sync from Etsy to ShopWired. It may take some time to complete if you have a lot of products to sync.
You can perform a maximum of 30 manual syncs per day.
View logs
To see nightly stock sync activity between ShopWired and Etsy, select the view logs option.
The nightly stock sync logs display:
- The timestamp of each sync event
- The direction of the sync event
- Either
ShopWired to EtsyorEtsy to ShopWired - The
successcolumn displays the ShopWired product IDs of products which successfully synced - The
erroredcolumn displays the ShopWired product IDs of products which did not successfully sync
Use this log to verify that stock has synced correctly during the nightly stock sync. Products may not sync correctly if the link between Etsy and ShopWired has broken, SKU codes have been changed or some other error occurred. Contact support if you need assistance.
Importing Etsy listings into ShopWired

The Etsy listings section displays listings from your Etsy account. You can use this section to import Etsy listings into ShopWired to create ShopWired products.
Each Etsy listing from your account is displayed in a table:

- ShopWired products must have a SKU code to track stock quantity (*)
Pricedisplays the price of the listing- Listings with variations display the lowest and highest priced variation
Statusdisplays the listings current status on Etsy- You can import
Active,Draft,InactiveandSold Outlistings from Etsy into ShopWired Importeddisplays whether or not the listing has previously been imported into ShopWired- If you delete a previously imported Etsy listing from your ShopWired account then the imported status will return to
No, this happens because the app removes the internal link between the Etsy listing and the ShopWired product when the product is deleted - If you import a previously imported Etsy listing, stock sync will continue to use the original mapping, the app always reuses the existing connection for that Etsy listing, so stock sync will still point to the same ShopWired product record
To import listings into ShopWired:
- Select the checkbox for each listing you'd like to import
- Use the What category should the products be imported into setting to select which category you'd like to assign to all of the selected listings to in ShopWired
- ShopWired recommends creating a new category within your ShopWired account to import listings into with a name such as

Each listing will take up to 30 seconds to import. During the import, you can navigate away from the page and return later. The app does not provide a progress report on Etsy import, you must refresh the page. If you have selected a lot of listings to import, this process may take some time.
- Products exported from ShopWired to Etsy appear in the table of Etsy listings.
- If you export the same product more than once, the app will always reuse the existing connection rather than create a duplicate listing
- Listings are refreshed each time the listings page loads
- If a listing is not displayed in the app, it is because Etsy has placed it in a state that the app cannot see
- Only Active, Draft, Inactive and Sold Out listings are displayed

The ShopWired Products for Export section displays products from your ShopWired account that can be exported to Etsy.
Use the search option to search ShopWired products either by product name or SKU code.
Each ShopWired product in your account is displayed in a table:

- If you export a previously exported ShopWired product, the app will always reuse the existing mapping, stock sync will continue to use the original connection rather than creating a new one
To export product into Etsy:
- Select the checkbox for each product you'd like to export
- Use the Select Etsy Taxonomy Category setting to select which category you'd like to assign to all of the selected products to in Etsy
- Use the Select Shipping setting to select the cost of (*) the shipping method from your ShopWired account that should be given to the Etsy listing
- Etsy requires (*)
- Enter a value in the Origin Postal Code setting to configure the location that Etsy listings will be shipped from
- This value is a requirement for creating listings in Etsy (*)
- Use the Export items as active setting to select whether or not to create the listings as active in Etsy
- If you do not select this setting, the listings will be created as

Listings exported to Etsy are exported as Draft listings, you must set the listing to Active within Etsy.

The Product stock sync logs section displays a log of each product stock sync event in a table:

Both Etsy → ShopWired and ShopWired → Etsy stock sync logs are displayed.
Select the view option to view the log of the API request made to complete the stock sync.
Sync orders from Etsy

To import orders from Etsy into ShopWired:
- Each Etsy line item must be linked to a ShopWired product (either exported or previously imported)
- All products in the Etsy order must exist in the ShopWired account
- A matching ShopWired shipping rate must exist for the Etsy shipping profile
- Eligibility checks will block the import if any required product links or shipping-rate matches are missing
To automatically import orders from Etsy into ShopWired, use the Enable automatic imports setting in the Automatic order import section.

disabledto manually import orders on demand (using the Sync orders from Etsy section described below)
When automatic order importing is enabled, new orders are imported from Etsy to ShopWired every 2 hours. Etsy does not provide a mechanism to allow ShopWired to immediately import orders.
You can manually import orders from Etsy into ShopWired using the Sync orders from Etsy section. The section displays a table:

The order import errors section displays a table of orders that could not be imported into ShopWired. The section displays a table:

You can resolve any issues on the Etsy order (for example by importing an Etsy product into ShopWired) and then attempt the order import again by selecting the retry option.
- If the import is successful, once you refresh the page the order will appear in your ShopWired account and in the synced orders section
- If the import is not successful, the order will remain in the order import errors table
