Migrating settings & other features
You will need to migrate a number of different "settings" from your existing website to your ShopWired account.
Each of the major setting and setting types is described briefly below.
VAT settings

ShopWired provides a number of different settings relating to VAT, including:
- Whether product and delivery prices will be entered with or without VAT
- How VAT is calculated
- The display of product and delivery prices
- VAT and international deliveries

Order settings

You can use order settings to:
- Configure the next order reference of your first ShopWired order
- Customise your ShopWired account's order status and order status emails, helping you and your customers track orders through the fulfilment process
- Customise the invoice PDF that's sent to customers when they place an order
- Offer a pre-order system for certain products
- Offer subscription products for sale
- Use the quotes system to issue quotes to potential customers

You can use product settings to:
- Sell digital products
- Add a filter feature to your category, brand and search results pages
- Allow visitors to request to be notified when a product is back in stock
- Offer a stock on back order feature
- Automatically sync stock levels and prices from your supplier databases
- Configure minimum and maximum order quantities for certain products
- Configure various other settings such as:
- Allowing visitors to enter custom text or upload files when adding products to their basket

ShopWired offers a wide range of different features allowing you to create different types of discounts & offers on your website:
Checkout design and functionality
Checkout design and functionality
The design and functionality of your website's checkout are controlled through your ShopWired account. Every page visited by a potential customer after they confirm your shopping basket is controlled through ShopWired's platform checkout feature.
Delivery rates & collection options
Delivery rates & collection options
When migrating to ShopWired you'll need to reconfigure your delivery rates according to the functionality that's available on ShopWired.
The main functionality for delivery charging is the delivery system but other features are available that allow you to extend how delivery works on your website:
- To offer a click & collect option
- To configure delivery charges in the UK based on the visitor's postcode
- To specifically exclude (or include) certain products from specific delivery rates
You can also use ShopWired's integrations with Royal Mail Click & Drop and ShipStation to efficiently prepare and dispatch orders.
Payment gateway
Payment gateway
ShopWired offers over 30 integrations with different payment gateways in the UK. If you're already using one of these payment gateways you can easily integrate it with your ShopWired account in just a few minutes.

If you are using a payment gateway not currently supported by ShopWired you'll need to switch to a gateway we do support. You can also consider using ShopWired Payments, ShopWired's own integrated payment gateway:
- You can create a ShopWired Payments account in just a few minutes
- Processing fees for card transactions start at 1.5% +20p per transaction
- ShopWired Payments is an integrated solution with ShopWired, removing the need for you to maintain separate PCI compliance
Trade settings
Trade settings
If you sell your products to other businesses, you can use ShopWired's trade and B2B features to:
- Allow visitors to create trade accounts
- Configure separate pricing for each trade customer for the products you sell
- Create "trade only" products and categories, only visible to visitors logged into trade customer accounts
- Offer different delivery pricing to trade customers
SEO settings
SEO settings
There are a number of different features for SEO on ShopWired, some of which you must be aware of during the migration:
- The SEO settings page is used to enter any verification meta tags for services like Google Search Console
- The SEO settings page is also used to enter the title tag and meta description for any of your website's standard pages like the home page
- Locate your website's sitemap.xml and robots.txt files and make any customisations that you need to
- Set up 301 redirects for any pages where the URL has changed or the page doesn't exist on your ShopWired website

Visitor tracking & cookie consent
Visitor tracking & cookie consent
If you are using Google Analytics to track visitor behaviour to your website, you can set this up through your ShopWired account by following the instructions here. ShopWired also offers built-in support for .
The scripts for any other visitor tracking platforms you use can be entered by following the instructions here including if you have a live chat feature on your website.
ShopWired also has built-in support for the Facebook tracking pixel and a separate app for the Facebook Conversions API.

ShopWired offers a wide range of other apps and integrations, not just the ones listed above.
Navigate to Apps to view the apps available and install and configure them within your ShopWired account. Most of ShopWired's apps are offered free of charge, but some have a small monthly fee.
