Pending orders

When a customer submits the checkout form on your website (by entering billing and delivery addresses), the system creates an ‘order’.

When your customer is taken through to the payment page to make payment, our system will wait for confirmation from your payment gateway that the payment has gone through.

Under some circumstances (such as a payment for an unusually large amount) the payment gateway will not immediately release the funds and mark the order as authorised until they complete anti-fraud checks. When this occurs our system will mark the order as ‘pending’ until notification is received from the payment gateway that the payment has been completed successfully.

To view these orders select Orders > View Orders from the menu, then from the different filter views at the top of the page, select Pending Orders.
