ShopWired utilises throughout your website to ensure fast loading times for your website’s pages without affecting image quality.
Wherever you upload an image file (JPG, GIF, PNG) to your website (for example, an image for a product, an image within a website page, or an image in your theme files), ShopWired automatically creates a WebP copy to use for your website
ShopWired creates a WebP version for all image files created and automatically serves the WebP version where the visitor’s .
You cannot upload WebP image files to your ShopWired account (through any image upload function or through any of ShopWired’s import/export systems); you must upload a standard image file (JPG, GIF, PNG), and ShopWired will automatically create a WebP version.
You can upload WebP images to your theme files and use WebP images directly within your theme. However, ShopWired does not automatically create a version of uploaded WebP images in a standard image file format, and therefore you should also upload a standard image file copy to serve to visitors using browsers that do not support the WebP format.
