Delivery rates

To create and manage delivery rates:

1. Navigate to Checkout > Delivery & collection and select the Manage option
2. Locate the delivery zone you want to configure delivery rates for
3. Select the menu option and select create new rate
4. Use the settings to configure the details for the delivery rate (each setting is described in the section below)
5. Use the tabs at the top of the window to access different settings
   • Use the Visitor types tab to configure which types of visitors should have access to the delivery rate
   • Use the Exclude / include products tab to configure delivery rate inclusions/exclusions
   • This tab will only appear if you have the delivery rate inclusions/exclusions app installed

An unlimited number of delivery rates can be configured for each delivery zone, you can also use the delivery rate import/export system when configuring a lot of rates.

Only available if the UK postcode shipping app is installed. Enter a list of postcodes applicable for the delivery rate.

This is the delivery rate’s display name on your website and ShopWired account, for example, Standard Delivery or Next Day Delivery.

This determines whether the delivery rate is available for visitors based on the total value or total weight of products in their basket.

The lowest value or weight that the delivery rate is applicable to (0 can be entered here). Weights can be entered up to 4 decimal places.

The highest value or weight that the delivery rate is applicable to (you can select unlimited here). Weights can be entered up to 4 decimal places.

The cost of the delivery rate (should be entered including or excluding VAT depending on your ShopWired account’s VAT setting).

This is available for value based delivery rates and is used to determine the maximum weight of products in the basket that the delivery rate is applicable to. To use this setting you must activate it, described below.

This is available for weight based delivery rates and is used to determine the maximum value of products in the basket that the delivery rate is applicable to. To use this setting you must activate it, described below.

This is only available for weight based delivery rates and is used to define the weight of the package. Along with the weight of products in the basket, any configured package weight is used to determine whether the delivery rate is applicable to the visitor’s basket.

ShopWired does not distinguish between zero rated and VAT exempt delivery. Use the Zero rated for VAT setting to mark the delivery rate as zero rated / exempt from VAT.

ShopWired automatically detects if the products in a visitor's basket are all zero rated / exempt from VAT and removes VAT from the price of the delivery rate automatically. You can configure a setting within your ShopWired account to charge the "VAT equivalent" price for the delivery rate in these circumstances to apply consistent customer-facing delivery prices. You can use the Select the visitor types that will have access to this delivery rate setting to configure which types of visitors will have access to the configured delivery rate. If the visitor corresponds to a visitor type that does not have access to the delivery rate it will be hidden from view.

• Visitors not logged into an account means a visitor not logged into a customer or trade customer account
• Visitors logged into a standard customer account means a visitor logged into a standard customer account
• Visitors logged into a trade customer account means a visitor logged into a trade customer account
• This option is only available when the trade accounts app is installed

For each delivery zone you can select a Default delivery rate:

• The default delivery rate is the rate pre-selected for the visitor after their delivery zone is selected/confirmed
• You can only select a single default delivery rate for each delivery zone
• If you don't select a default delivery rate, the cheapest will be pre-selected for the visitor
• If the selected default delivery rate is not available for the visitor’s shopping basket, the cheapest delivery rate will be pre-selected instead

To select a default delivery rate for a delivery zone:

1. Locate the delivery zone
2. Select the menu option
3. Select Settings
4. Use the Default delivery rate for this delivery zone setting

ShopWired provides some settings you can configure to alter the behaviour of delivery rates on your website.

To manage these settings, navigate to delivery rates and select settings.

For delivery rates configured based on the total value of products in the basket, ShopWired can select whether to use the total value of products either before or after discounts have been applied. Use the Display and apply price based delivery rates based on setting selecting either the product sub total excluding any discounts or the product sub total including any discounts.

To configure a maximum weight for value based delivery rates, select the setting Enter a maximum weight for basket value based delivery rates.

To configure a maximum value for weight based delivery rates, select the setting Enter a maximum price for weight based delivery rates.

For ShopWired accounts located in the US, when creating delivery rates for the US delivery zone you must select the states that the delivery rate is available for. You can select multiple states for each delivery rate.

• To configure a delivery rate available to every state in the US, Washington D.C. and overseas territories, select all states
• To configure a delivery rate available to only the Contiguous States, select contiguous states
• To configure a delivery rate to be available for any state except states specifically configured for other delivery rates, select all other states
