The Payment Link Paid email is sent automatically when a customer successfully completes payment for a payment link created through ShopWired Payments. This email provides confirmation of the payment and includes all key details related to the transaction.
The email is triggered when ShopWired receives confirmation that a payment link has been paid in full. This occurs immediately after a successful payment is processed through ShopWired Payments.
You can customise the content and design of this email in your ShopWired account's Email page.
The following variables are available in the email.
customer_name
Returns the name of the customer who made the payment.
payment_intent_reference

Returns the total amount paid.
domain_name

Managing payment link transactions
Transactions created through payment links do not have a corresponding order within your ShopWired account. They can be managed by navigating to the Transactions page within your ShopWired account, selecting the transaction to view the full details.
You can manage payment link transactions in the same way as standard transactions.
When viewing the transaction information:
- The Description, in the Payment details section, displays with the description entered for the payment link
- The Payment type, in the Payment method section, displays as
Payment link
- The customer details section displays the customer's name, email address, phone number and address
In the Activity report the Description
column displays with the transaction description (in place of the order reference). Payment link transactions do not display a value in the VAT
column.

Editing or reactivating expired payment links
Expired payment links can be reactivated if you need to continue accepting payments.
To do so, edit the payment link and change its Status back to Active
, or increase the Total number of allowed payments if the limit has been reached.
The payment link URL remains the same, so any customers who still have the link will be able to use it again once reactivated.
