Custom VAT rates

ShopWired does not distinguish between products that are zero rated for VAT or VAT exempt.

To mark a product as zero rated/VAT exempt:

1. Navigate to edit the product
2. Select the zero option (if you have the VAT features app installed) or select Yes for the The product is zero rated / VAT exempt (if you don't have the VAT features app installed)

To mark a product variation as zero rated / VAT exempt, use the zero option for the Custom VAT rate setting in the variations section.

You can set a custom VAT rate or mark a product as zero rated / exempt from VAT using the product import/export system using the columns VAT Exclusive, Custom VAT Rate and Variant VAT Rate (Optional).

For products, enter a Yes in this column if the product is zero rated / exempt from VAT.

For products, enter a custom VAT rate in this column, up to 2 decimal places.

For variations, enter 0 if the variation is zero rated / exempt from VAT or enter a custom VAT rate up to 2 decimal places.
