Importing/exporting products in bulk

To export your product information into a CSV file:

1. Navigate to Products
2. Select export
3. Navigate to the Export products section
4. Select the columns that you want to include in the export
   • When using the export system to take a backup of your products, select all columns
   • When using the export system only to update certain data about your products (e.g. prices), only export the columns for the data you want to update
5. Select the type of products you want to export using the Select the type of products to download setting:
   • All products will export all the products on your ShopWired account
   • Active products only will export only active products
   • Inactive products only will export only inactive products
6. Select the products you want to export using the Select the products to download setting:
   • The filter applied at step 5 will apply
   • All products will export all products
   • Select a category to only export products assigned to a specific category
   • Select a brand to only export products assigned to a specific brand
7. Select prepare your export
8. Wait for the export to generate and then select download your export

You can open a CSV file in spreadsheet editing software such as Excel or Google Sheets.

To create new products through the product import system:

1. Navigate to Products > products
2. Select import
3. Locate the Product import template section and select download import template
   • A CSV file containing ShopWired's required product import format will be downloaded to your device
4. Open the template in spreadsheet editing software such as Excel or Google Sheets
5. Add your product information to the spreadsheet file and, once complete, save it as a CSV file
   • Follow the product import column definitions guidance
   • If images are on your device's hard drive, follow the guidance to upload them to ShopWired's image hosting service first
   • If importing product variations, follow the guidance
   • If importing product choices, follow the guidance
6. On the products page, select import, navigate to the Import products section and select the created import file from your device
7. Select upload and process the file
8. Wait whilst your product import is processed

To update your existing product information through the product import/export system:

1. Navigate to Products > products
2. Navigate to the Export products section
3. Select the columns that you want to include in the export
   • When using the export system to take a backup of your products, select all columns

   • All products will export all the products on your ShopWired account

9. Make changes to the product information, leaving the product ID column unchanged
   • Follow the product import column definitions guidance
   • If images are on your device's hard drive, follow the guidance to upload them to ShopWired's image hosting service first
   • If importing product variations, follow the guidance
   • If importing product choices, follow the guidance
10. Save the spreadsheet as a CSV file
11. On the products page, select import, navigate to the Import products section and select the created import file from your device
12. Select upload and process the file
13. Wait whilst your product import is processed
