Printful
Printful is a print-on-demand platform that allows businesses to sell custom products. You can use ShopWired's integration with Printful to sell print-on-demand products on your ShopWired website. When a customer buys a print-on-demand product from you, the order will be automatically exported to Printful for fulfilment.
To install the app:
Once the app is installed, configure your Printful settings by navigating to Apps > Manage > Printful.

To connect your Printful account to ShopWired:
- Navigate to Apps > Manage > Printful
- Select
connect with Printful
- Follow the on-screen instructions to give ShopWired access to your Printful account
Once the connection has been established, a confirmation message will be displayed and additional settings for the app will be available.

option in the app.

Send retail costs to Printful when exporting orders
If you're shipping orders internationally, select the send retail costs to Printful when exporting orders
option, which allows Printful to declare the amount the customer paid for the items on any applicable customs declarations.
Send an email to the customer when the order status is changed to shipped
When ShopWired receives a message from Printful that an order has been shipped, the app will change the status of the order in ShopWired to the order status corresponding to the shipped .
If you want to automatically notify a customer when Printful ships their order (through an order status email), select the send an email to the customer when the order status is changed to shipped
setting.
Send orders to Printful as pending
You can select to export orders to Printful as either draft
or pending
:
- When exporting as draft orders, you will need to manually confirm the order and make payment for it within your Printful account before Printful fulfils the order
- When exporting as pending orders, Printful will automatically fulfil the order and charge the payment method you have on file
- If no payment method is configured in your Printful account, the order will be exported as draft and an email notification will be sent to you

Printful offers two shipping methods: Flat Rate
and Express
.
Delivery times and shipping charges vary depending on the location of the fulfilment centre and the customer's shipping address. For more details, visit the Printful website.
ShopWired does not support automatic calculation of Printful shipping rates. You will need to manually configure shipping rates within your ShopWired account and map them to Printful's delivery methods.
To map delivery rates:
- Locate the Delivery rates mapping section
- Select the
get ShopWired delivery rates
option to download your ShopWired delivery rates into the Printful app- The date of the last sync is displayed at the top of the section
- For each of your ShopWired delivery rates, select a corresponding Printful shipping service
Orders with free delivery or specific delivery prices
For orders created with free delivery (through your ShopWired account) or where all of the products in the order have specific delivery rates, the orders will be exported with the flat rate

Importing products from Printful to ShopWired

To list products from Printful on your ShopWired website, you will first need to configure the specific products within your Printful account.
Once you have configured the product within Printful, to import it into your ShopWired account:
- Navigate to the Import products section in the Printful app
- Select the products you want to import by selecting the checkbox for each product
- Select the
import products

Once you have imported a product from Printful, you should select to edit each product to add additional information that won't have imported from Printful. For example:
- Configuring at least one category
- Writing a product description
- Setting a recommended retail price
You can edit imported products through your ShopWired account in the standard way.
Order fulfilment
Order fulfilment
When you receive an order containing a product that has been imported from Printful, the details of the product(s) and order will be exported to Printful automatically. Orders are exported to Printful as soon as they are created on ShopWired.
- If the order also contains products not fulfilled by Printful, those products will not be included in the exported order
- Printful will fulfil the order and ship it directly to the customer
If an order fails to export to Printful, it will appear in the Export errors section of the app:
- Review the error in the Export errors section
- Fix the issue (e.g., update the order or product details)
- Retry the export by selecting
