Mailerlite
Mailerlite is an email marketing platform that you can use to send out newsletters to your customers.
ShopWired's Mailerlite app allows you to connect your ShopWired account to your Mailerlite account. If you don’t already have a Mailerlite account, you can create one here
Once you have installed and configured the Mailerlite integration, the details of any new customers who create an account, place an order, or sign up to receive your newsletters will automatically be sent to your Mailerlite account based on your settings.
To install this app:
- Navigate to Apps
- Locate the Mailerlite app
- Select
install this app
Once the app is installed, configure your Mailerlite settings by navigating to Apps > Manage > Mailerlite.

To get started, you will need to enter the API key from your Mailerlite account into the ShopWired app.
Mailerlite Classic:
If you're using Mailerlite Classic:
- Select your profile from the top right corner of the top menu
- From the menu, select
integrations
- Select
use
besidedeveloper API
- Your API key will be displayed in the API key section
Mailerlite (new):
If you're using the new version of Mailerlite:
- Select
integrations
from the left menu in your Mailerlite account - Select
use
besideAPI
- Generate a new API token by selecting the
generate new token
option - Enter a name for the token, e.g.
ShopWired
and selectAll IPs allowed

To connect your ShopWired account to your Mailerlite account:
- Navigate to Apps > Manage > Mailerlite
- Enter your Mailerlite API key into the Mailerlite API token setting
- Select
connect to Mailerlite
- Once complete, you'll be able to configure your settings
Mapping your groups
Mapping your groups
After adding your API key, you can map which of your Mailerlite groups your customers' and visitors' details should be synced to when specific events occur on your ShopWired website, using the Mailerlite settings section.
You can map different groups for the following events:
- Customer created when order placed means when a is created on your ShopWired account
- Customer registers an account means when a visitor creates a standard account on your website
- When a trade customer registers for an account means when a visitor creates a trade account on your website
- When a visitor signs up for the newsletter means when a visitor uses the newsletter sign-up form on your website
For each event, select a group from your Mailerlite account using the available option. If a newly created Mailerlite group does not appear in the list, select the refresh lists option.

Once the Mailerlite app is installed and configured, new subscribers will automatically be sent to the group configured. Existing subscriber records created before the app was installed will not automatically sync to Mailerlite, but you can import them manually.
- Navigate to Customers > Newsletter subscribers
- Select
download all
- This will download all of your newsletter subscribers to a CSV file
- Navigate to your Mailerlite account:

from the top menu - Select
add subscribers
in the top right corner
- Select
- In the Import from a CSV or TXT file tab, attach the file from your computer and select
import
- On the next page, select which of your groups you would like to add the subscribers to (you can select more than one)
- Ensure the columns from the spreadsheet are matched to the appropriate fields, then select
finish adding subscribers
