Product sort orders
The sort order of products affects the order in which products appear:
- On category pages
- Where the product appears as part of a content block, such as an embedded products section
You can select from one of the following 5 options for the default sort order for category/brand pages on your website. Visitors can still use the 'sort by' option on your website to adjust the sort order of products themselves:
- Name (a to z)
- Name (z to a)
- Price (high to low)
- Price (low to high)
- Manual
Selecting the manual option allows you to select the order that products appear in on category and brand pages yourself, through your ShopWired account by entering a sort order number. This sort by option will be presented to visitors on your website as relevance.
Important notes about manual product sort orders:
- A product with a lower sort order appears above a higher sort order
- Where products don't have a sort order, they are sorted in alphabetical order
- Where products share the same sort order, they are sorted in alphabetical order
