Account restrictions
Most ShopWired Payments accounts will be created without any issues, and you'll immediately be eligible to receive payments from your customers and receive payouts into your bank account.
However, from time to time, you may find that your account is in a restricted state.
Most of the time, even if your account is in a restricted state, you'll still be able to process new transactions using ShopWired Payments, but you won't be able to receive payouts until the restriction(s) are lifted.
Rarely, you may also find that your ability to process transactions is also restricted (i.e. unavailable).
Removing restrictions
A restriction on your account may be imposed for a number of reasons, the most common being:
- Your company cannot be verified
- The directors, owners, or representatives of the company cannot be verified
- Your bank account cannot be verified
In these cases, removing the restriction is a simple process, and you will be able to do so from the account settings page of your ShopWired account, for example, by providing the necessary identity documentation.
ShopWired Payments' risk and underwriting teams will also review the products/services that you sell on your website and other information about your company. As part of this process, we may discover that you're ineligible to transact using ShopWired Payments because you are in breach of our policies. In this case, we'll reach out to you directly to discuss your situation and help you to resolve it so that the restrictions can be removed.
