IP address blocking
You can block specific IP addresses from visiting your website using ShopWired's IP blocking feature.
- Within your ShopWired account, navigate to Website settings > Domain settings
- Navigate to the IP address blocking section
- Enter IP adddresses you would like to block into the IP addresses to block setting
Enter each IP address you would like to block on a new line, e.g.
1.1.1.1
2.2.2.2
3.3.3.3
4.4.4.4/24
Some notes about IP blocking
- You can enter a maximum of 200 IP addresses to block
- You can enter a single
*at the end of the line to represent a wildcard IP address - A
*must be entered at the end of the line, e.g.1.1.1.* - Multiple
*cannot be used in the same IP address, e.g.1.*.1.*is not supported - You can enter comment lines, starting with a
#e.g.# Blocked because of fraudulent order - A maximum of 1,500 lines can be processed (IP addresses and comments)
- Only addresses can be blocked, addresses cannot be blocked
When a visitor to your website visits from an IP address that is in your block list, they will be shown a 403 forbidden error when visiting any page.
