Reports
You can use ShopWired's reporting features:
- To gain valuable insights into your ShopWired website and business
- To assist with your business processes (such as picking orders)
Generating reports
ShopWired provides a number of reports that can be accessed and downloaded from within your ShopWired account. To generate a report:
- Navigate to Dashboard > Reports
- Select
view report
for the desired report - Where available, use the report filters to refine the data displayed:
- Use the
number of data points
filter to select how many entries the report should display - Use the
period from
filter to select the report's start date - Use the
period to
filter to select the report's end date

The interface for each report type is different; some reports provide a visual display, a table of results, and the option to download the report as a CSV file, whereas other reports only generate a CSV file to be downloaded to your device
Sales by product report
Sales by product report
Use the Sales by product report to view the best-selling products over a period of time
- You can refine the report to only include products based on the brand they are assigned to using the
product brand
filter - This does not include brands that have subsequently been deleted from your ShopWired account
- Product variations are itemised in the report separately
- For each product/variation listed in the report, you can view:
- SKU code
- Product name
- Variation details
- Quantity of the product sold
- Total value of products sold (NET of VAT/Tax)
- The Percent column details the product/variation total net sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the products included in the report

Use the Sales by category report to view the best-selling product categories over a defined period of time
- The report analyses the sales of all products within each category detailed in the report
- The report uses category assignments as they are currently assigned to products, not as they were at the time orders were placed
- If a product is assigned to more than one category, only the first category that a product is assigned to will be used in the generation of the report
- For each category listed in the report, you can view:
- Category name
- Quantity of included products sold
- Total value of products sold (NET of VAT/Tax)
- The Percent column details the category's total net sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the categories included in the report

Use the Sales by brand report to view the best-selling product brands over a defined period of time
- The report analyses the sales of all products within each brand detailed in the report
- The report uses brand assignments as they are currently assigned to products, not as they were at the time orders were placed
- For each brand listed in the report, you can view:
- Brand name
- Quantity of included products sold
- Total value of products sold (NET of VAT/Tax)
- The Percent column details the brand's total net sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the brands included in the report

Use the Sales by customer report to view the highest value customers over a defined period of time
- The report analyses the orders assigned to each customer record on your ShopWired account
- For each customer in the report, you can view:
- Customer name (this may be affected by the B2B setting to change customer names to company names where available)
- Highest order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Mean average order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Number of orders made
- Grand total value of orders made (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- The Percent column details the customer's total net sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the customers included in the report

Use the Sales by order report to view the highest value orders over a defined period of time
- The report analyses all orders to find the highest value orders
- For each order in the report, you can view:
- Order reference
- Shipping method selected for the order
- Payment method used for the order
- Number of items in the order (each quantity of each unit is counted)
- Total value of the order (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- The Percent column details the order's total net sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the orders included in the report

Use the Payment methods report to view an analysis of order volumes for each payment method on your ShopWired account during a defined period of time
- The report analyses all payment methods
- For each payment method in the report, you can view:
- Payment method name
- Highest order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Mean average order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Number of orders
- Total value of all orders (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- The Percent column details the total sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the payment methods included in the report
Transaction report
Transaction report
The Transaction report provides a breakdown of transactions for orders and refunds processed during a defined period of time
- The report includes a breakdown of the orders and refunds processed for each day (each day is its own row in the report)
- The value included for refunds reports on any refunds processed on a particular day; it does not reference back to the date of the order that the refund relates to
- When an order is refunded, the refund amount is deducted from the sales column for the day the order was placed
- Cancelled orders are not included in the transaction report
- The order references for the refunded orders and for each payment gateway are listed for each day

Use the Sales by country report to view an analysis of order volumes for each country during a defined period of time
- The report uses the order’s billing country
- For each country in the report, you can view:
- Country name
- Highest order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Mean average order value (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- Number of orders
- Total value of all orders (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- The Percent column details the total sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the countries included in the report

Use the Sales by month report to view an analysis of order volumes for each month during a defined period of time
- For each month in the report, you can view:
- Month and year
- Number of orders created during the month
- Total value of all orders in the month (including VAT/Tax and shipping costs)
- The Percent column details the total sales as a proportion of the total of all sales of the months included in the report
Failed searches report
Failed searches report
When a visitor to your website performs a search using your website’s product search feature but the search doesn’t yield any results, this empty search is recorded by ShopWired and is known as a failed search
- Use the Failed searches report to view a list of failed searches within a defined period of time
- The Search keyphrase column returns the exact search used by the visitor
- The Date/time column returns the date and time of the failed search
- Use the
show/hide
setting for a failed search to toggle its display in the report - Use the failed searches report to improve the performance of your website’s product search system to ensure that customers can find the products they are looking for
- You can also use the Failed searches report to analyse products that visitors are interested in ordering from your company
Product stock report
Product stock report
Use the Product stock report to compare the units of a SKU sold in a defined period of time with the units currently in stock
- The report contains a list of SKU codes (and therefore itemises product variations separately)
- For each SKU in the report, you can view:
- Product name
- SKU code
- MPN
- Warehouse notes for the product
- Number of units sold in the period
- Current stock quantity for the SKU
- The Percent column details the SKU units sold as a proportion of the total of all units included in the report
Picking list report

Use the Picking list report to generate a picking list for orders in a defined period of time
- When generating a report, select the date period and use the
status
setting to generate the report for only orders with a status that you select - The report itemises products in each order as a separate row:
- Order ID
- Order’s delivery name
- Details about the product (SKU code, name, bundle information, variation information, product choices, product extras, product comments, quantity, and warehouse notes)
- The ships-on date for the order (if the order is a pre-order)
Order report
Order report
Use the Order report to generate a stock list for orders in a defined period of time to know what stock is required for orders. The period of time defined is the customer's requested delivery date (the report will therefore only return orders where the delivery date for the order is within the defined period)
- When generating a report, select the delivery date period
- If you want to filter the report for specific shipping rates selected on orders, select the relevant shipping rate(s)
- This report is only available as a downloadable CSV file
- The report itemises products in each order contained as a separate row:
- Product name
- Product/variation SKU
- Any variations selected for the product
- Any product choices selected for the product
- Any product extras selected for the product
