Creating and managing brands
You can use ShopWired's brands feature to assign each product to a brand/manufacturer:
- Visitors to your website can view products assigned to a particular brand
- Brand information is sent to third-party platforms such as:
- Google Shopping
- eBay
To install the app:
Once you've installed the app, you'll be able to create brands and assign products to those brands.

To create a new brand:
- Navigate to Products > Brands
- Select
create brand
and enter the details for the brand
Brand information
- Title/Name is the name of the brand (e.g. Adidas)
- Brand description is the brand's description and should be used to describe the brand and/or types of products you are selling
- Brand descriptions are displayed on the brand's page on your website
- Brand descriptions are a great way to improve the
Brand image
- Image is an image for the brand; select an image from your device
- Images are displayed on your website (for example, if the brand appears on your website's home page)
- Brand images should represent the types of products that the brand contains or the brand logo
- Once you've uploaded an image, use the
edit image
option to edit the image in ShopWired's - Read more about image sizes
- The Image ALT tag setting is used to specify text for the image where the image doesn't load or can't be viewed by the visitor. should concisely describe what the image displays
SEO tags
- Configure the brand's SEO settings in the SEO tags section
- ShopWired will automatically create a title tag for the brand using its name; you can using the Title tag setting
- ShopWired will automatically create a URL for the brand using its name; you can using the Page URL setting
- ShopWired will automatically create a meta description for the brand using its description; you can using the Meta description setting
- ShopWired does not automatically complete the Meta keywords field, which is now

Existing brands are shown in a table on the Brands page.
To delete a brand, select the delete
option. When a brand is deleted, it is permanently removed from your ShopWired account. This process is irreversible.
ShopWired strongly advises configuring a to forward visitors to a different page.

You can make a brand inactive by deselecting the active
option for the brand.
When a brand becomes inactive:
- It is not displayed in your website's brand menu
- The brand page can still be viewed on your website by visiting the page's URL
- The brand page will from search engine results
- The brand page will not be included in your website's
Sort orders
Sort orders
The order in which brands appear on your website is determined by the brand's sort order. The sort order of brands affects the order in which brands appear:
- In your website's brand menus
- Where the brand appears as part of a content block such as an embedded brands section
Important notes about brand sort orders:
- A brand with a lower sort order appears above a higher sort order
- Where brands don't have a sort order, they are sorted in alphabetical order
- Where brands share the same sort order, they are sorted in alphabetical order
You can adjust the sort order of brands from the brands page by selecting the existing number (or the +
option if a number is not already set), adding/editing the number, and then selecting out of the setting. On selecting out of the setting, your change will be automatically saved.

The display of brands on your website is determined by your website's theme.
You can use the theme editor to make various customisations (as allowed by your theme) to the appearance of brands on your website. For further customisations, you'll need to edit your theme's code or contact theme support.
