Product search keywords
ShopWired's search keywords app can be used to enhance your website's search feature to ensure that products appear in search results that currently don't appear.
Install the app:
- Navigate to Apps
- Locate the Product search keywords app
- Select
install this app
Once you've installed the app, you'll be able to add search keywords to your products.
Configuring product search keywords for products
To configure product search keywords:
- When creating or editing a product, navigate to the Additional information section
- Select the Other data tab
- Configure search keywords in the Search keywords setting
- Enter multiple keywords separated with a comma, e.g.
white shoes, white trainers, sneakers

To configure product search keywords using the product import system, use the column Custom Search Keywords.

Using product search keywords app in conjunction with the failed search report
When a visitor uses the search on your website, if they aren’t shown any matching products for what they entered, the search will be recorded in your ShopWired account. You can therefore access a report of all of these failed searches in the Failed searches report.
If you think that a particular search term that was entered should have yielded a result that it didn’t, you can manually add the search keyword(s) to the product to ensure that future searches will display that product.
