Creating a Google Merchant Center account
In order to upload your feed and use Google Shopping you will need to have created a Google Merchant Center account. If you don’t yet have an account you can create one here. Follow these instructions provided by Google to configure your account correctly.
Claiming your URL
In order to successfully submit your feed to Google, you will need to have verified and claimed your website’s URL within your merchant center account. Follow Google’s instructions here for how to claim your URL.
When verifying your website you will probably find it easiest to use the ‘Add an HTML tag’ method. To use this method copy the HTML tag that Google has provided you, and then enter it in your account by following the instructions here.
