Your website's text and information pages
In order to give visitors to your website more confidence in the products you are selling, your website should contain information pages, such as ‘About Us’ and ‘Delivery Information’.
On the ShopWired platform these are called ‘website pages’, and they can be managed by you in your account.
When you create a new website page you will need to link the page to one of your website’s menus, or your visitors won’t be able to find the page.

Editing existing pages
When you created your account a few website pages containing some sample content, along with links to them on your website’s menus, were prepopulated in your account. You can, and should, edit these pages by selecting from the menu. A list of your website’s pages will be displayed:
Page Title tells you the name of the page. Click on the title to edit aspects of the page.
Select the button under View On Website to see how the page appears on your website.
Select the button under Edit to edit aspects of the page.
Last Edited tells you the date you last edited the page.
Use the bin icon under Delete to delete the page.
When editing a page follow the same guidance for filling out the ‘Page Details’ section as explained in the 'Creating new pages' section of this guide.
Creating new pages
To create a new page for your website select from the menu.
Page details
Use the ‘Page Details’ section to enter the information you want to be displayed on the page:
What you enter under Title/Name is shown at the top of the website page. In this example the name of the page is ‘About Us’:
Under Content use the page editor to enter the content for the page:
You can use the CMS page editor to customise your content in many different ways.
Under the content box are two tick boxes.
Use the ‘Tick here to enter additional custom HTML/JS/CSS’ tick box if you have some HTML/JS/CSS that you want to add after your page content. A new field will appear for you to add your code:
This can be used if you have some code, such as an iframe or provided by an online form builder, and you’d like it to display after your page’s content.
Use the ‘Tick here to enter advanced HTML/JS/CSS’ tick box if you want to switch the entire page content field to direct code entry (with no CMS editor):
This can be used if you want to configure a completely custom HTML page.
SEO
If you have installed the 'SEO Control' app, you can use the 'Search Engine Optimisation' section to control the information that is displayed on search engines for each of your website's pages:
You can, however, still choose to leave this section empty as the title and page URL will automatically be filled in and supplied to search engines.
In the ‘Google Preview’ box you can see how the information would currently be displayed.
If you want search engines to display specific information, you can fill out the relevant boxes. To change the title that search engines show use the ‘Meta Title’ box. To change the ending of the page URL use the ‘Page URL’ box. To change the short summary of the page use the ‘Meta Description’ box. The final box in this section is for meta keywords. Most search engines no longer use this function. Therefore, filling it in is not necessary, and it is recommended that you don’t.
Once you have finished inputting the information for your website page select save changes or save + close. The new page will then appear in the 'Your Website's Pages' section with the other pages that exist on your account.
Once you have saved your webpage check the page on your website to make sure everything is displaying correctly.
Linking to website pages
After creating a new website page you will need to link it to a menu on your website. You can also follow the same process if you want to change the current location of any of your other website pages in your menus.
